A quintessentially Venusian principle

Numbers play a substantial role in our lives in many ways. Their hidden and explicit energetics are powerful. The number 5 has a profound significance to the Venus Star — the pentagram pattern fashioned by Venus as She swirls around the Sun — astronomically so, as seen from our Earthly point of view.

So, the connection between Venus and the pentagram runs deeper than symbolism. It is rooted in the very fabric of feminine wisdom, intertwining the stellar rhythms of the heavens with the earthly cycles of birth and growth. The five-pointed Venus Star influences life on Earth as music does to us on a dance floor.

As Arielle Guttman beautifully points out in her book Venus Star Rising: A New Cosmology for the 21st Century, the design of our human body replicates the Venus Star geometry, as illustrated by Leonardo da Vinci's Vitruvian Man — we have five appendages, five fingers, five toes, and five sense organs.

When I first read her book, this insight fascinated me deeply. As an architect, I was introduced to da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man many times during university, but I've never comprehended it that way. Venus allure.

Quintessence of love.

Quintessence means "a refined essence or extract of a substance" — according to classical and medieval philosophy, it is the inherent essence that exists in all things — "a fifth substance added to the four elements, thought to compose the heavenly bodies". Quinta essentia.

Venus performs in the fifth essence — the 5th harmonics as called in astrological aspects — which evokes our brain's right hemisphere. The creative feminine life force. The energy of change that births Harmony.

The synchronistic, like a jazz flow state.

A quintessentially Venusian principle.

Oh, the tantric nature of life.

When we tune into our four body centres — we tune into that fifth element: Love.

Yet, everything has polarity. Venus, too, has a twoness nature.

Love isn't always easy, for to love unconditionally is a choice.

And here I am referencing all kinds of love — beyond romantic love.

Self-love. Love for your mother, love for another.

Agape love. Love that begets love.

Unrational love.

Love is benevolent.

"To love is to be vulnerable" — C.S. Lewis

Tuning into our quintessence — our aura — gifts us a profound state of grace, presence, and flow.

Different melodies at the same time. 5th Harmony.

A love supreme.

Shall we dance?
